At the end of July my sister Lindsay came over so we could do a biathalon in Preston. Lindsay did the 5k run and I did the almost 15 mile bike. I convinced my friends Tami and Kim to be a team and do it too. We had a lot of fun!
This fall Jordan started Kindergarten! Holy cow, I can't believe I have a kindergartener. After a lot of research and prayer I felt it was best to keep Jordan home and home school him. It has been a crazy and fun adventure. I love having him home with me and I am grateful for the opportunity to be his mom but also his academic teacher. Logan is in "tot school" I haven't ton a lot with him this semester but I have lots of fun things planned for him for next semester. Plus he is picking up on stuff that I teach Jordan. Jordan is doing great with his math, language skills, literature & comprehension. He hated his phonics lesson so I switched our phonics curriculum to "Explode the Code" and he is doing much better. He is even starting to read simple words. We start each day with calendar time which includes days of the weeks, months of the years, weather, the pledge of allegiance and this is when we work on our Article of Faith. We have been memorizing the 1st Article of Faith and the boys almost have it down perfect!
